ZiauAshes, the world would all be in ashes- but youth knows nothing, it is comletly devoid of the realiztaion that the world will one day end- but not even the wise expected it so soon. When Wormwood hit- when the gates tore themselves open, when Heaven trumpeted it's warcry- when our blue orb of a world was rifled into a world of darkness and fire- it was all just so soon. We had a good existence, but alas, it was all a start,.. and with great confidence the war will only result in the resurrection of the Earth- but seven years of the Thousand Year War was no where a speculation of where we currently stand.

Ziau was a young man, he was set into a world of gang violence and thievery, but it always wasn't that way. He had grown up until the age of ten in Russia- his motherland, the place he had always called home- and he fled there with his two brothers Sinthorn and Spade. Each one lived by birth name of Barrett, the name Ziau and Sinthorn ridded of themselve with Spade's death- it was an honor thing among thieves, when you lay your dead to rest with the pillagers, you lay that name to rest- and so then came Jua and Nagorski. Knowing they were alone in the world at the ripe age of thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen and a half- the Barretts landed in a wonderful place- Los Angeles, part of the Pacifia Territory.

Work was never easy for them- the Barretts, they were so young, and the world was so scary, they stole, they lied, they cried, and they ate from dumpsters. Ziau was a provider to them, being in the States for only a few years, they were preteens, they were tough- they had scraped by for these past intervals of three sixty five- why was it so hard now? Ziau,.. Ziau had made them suffer, he wanted more, he wanted power, he wanted the best life they could possibly have.

On the television sets in the windows of the old dieing shops was news- news of a new age, C.R.N.A was now trying to help the people- trying to dissolve the panic, and Ziau's gang of boys cared not for news or panic or prophecies, no- they cared about loot and punk rock- booze and blood, and being so wiry, so young, they couldn't make their foothold in a worse place than where it was- donning porcelain masks, the Bloodlines of L.A walked the streets by night- preying on the weak and by day sleeping in the concrete jungle that wrapped around them and grew bigger by the week.

++++
It was a cold night, the boys were all grouped, walking the wet streets, the rain so much colder than usual. Ziau could never remember a colder night in such a long time- it was more than a last sigh of relief, it was more than a refreshing drizzle, it was almost eerie to him- almost painful. He looked at the old Magnavox as the reporter spoke. "C.R.N.A officials today stated that people should not panic- that the words of prophecy and religon are never correct- that similar callings were made in twenty twelve, and nothing happened. This is no national crisis and there will be no state of arrest- and the withdrawl of the troops from.." He turned away and grunts to his brother, "See Spade, Sinny is just over reacting." Ziau was wearing a blank white porcelain mask with a chip in the chin- Spade wore a black bandanna- paisley- old fashioned.

They tucked their hands into their hoodie pockets, shuffling with the glass to their right- their heads down, their hoods shrouding who they were- what they represented, but everyone knew police were too afraid of even the children of such a violent neighborhood- what was the use anyway. Panic had sent people looting, had sent the rushes of noise in the distance more than constant sirens, but gunfire and screams- hollers even. But on this tiny little avenue there was nothing of value to loot- old shops going under, old homes run down with greenish brown water, and lots of suffering. This was what they called their home- their people- their purpose. And as they walked along neither for the fourteen year old boys said a word they just walked, wandered, waited for something to fall into their lap.

That night- sitting on the old broken junkyard stacks the Bloodlines made their plans vocal, "Hide" said some, "Fight" said others- but Ziau spoke up as the natural leader of the orphans. In the background, the low murmur of the Sex Pistols- a 1960s and 70s band gently setting a pace to where the boy's hearts were, punks, anarachists. "We need to prepare,.. I think the prophecies are true, the rain is getting colder, I can even see my breath at night- this is a change,.. something is coming." With much shouting, with much contest, even the older boys look up to Ziau- and even they knew that something was wrong, call it child's instinct.

The man in Ziau was still young- and the child was so old, it was growing tired, and it needed no more naps- no the Bloodlines boys stood up and finally agreed on one simple word, "Prepare." That night they gather, baseball bats, hacksaws, chains, and a few lucky pistols in the group, it was what they had- ranging in ages eleven to nineteen, led tightly by a fourteen year old snotnose- Ziau Barrett. They gathered under the overpass of the Santa Monica District, a boardwalk, central for touring and entertainment in it's days- but alas, it was now a warground for gangs and drug lords- and they -prepared- like any gang, they asked for the help of their brothers in arms. They were faced by men, fully grown with stubble, fully grown with lives before C.R.N.A started the end- the end that had been from the start- starting up an end to prosper. The men respected the boys- they had lost lives to it, many lives,.. it was sad in a sense- but honorable in other senses. Ziau was about five feet tall, and he stared up at the six one biker with his mask almost intimidatingly flecked with the blood of his past enemies.

"The end is coming- we can feel it,.. we want your help,.. we wanna try and find a way to protect our families- we want to save our gang, and our future- as well as any who wishes to come with us." Intelligent, Ziau had always been WAY too intelligent for his age- a bookworm really, and on top of reading way too much, he was just quite the nerd at heart. But the man was not as respectful as he had been and he rolled his voice off of his tongue to the boy. "Listen here- halfpint- we have this alliance because you proved you are tough little boys- you kill for no reason, because you have no reason to live,.. but if you give the boys a reason to live- they lose their edge,.. and therefore- you are worthless to us." He looks back over his shoulder and snickers, and back to Ziau, "So, what I am saying is- fuck off- go back to Moscow commie, Slim Fits for life." Ah, the day the Slims had forsaken the respect- the day they learned their lesson.

Ziau had a squeaky little voice- just barely hit puberty- overly pronounced so people could understand him through his Russian tinged accent, sharp on his Rs and Ls- he would have this for life- people in later days would grow to recognize this voice as a sexual symbol- or perhaps a militant one. He blinks a few times and reaches into his shorts, retrieving a piece of paper with a red spray paint dot- and this,.. this simple gift he gives to the biker, he hands it over for the man to hold and have, snorting to him, "Well- it has to be." Not even accepting the dot- he knew what it meant- he growls and says, "You are ASKING for DEATH!" That was all it took to get the blood pouring, and there was no strength in numbers- no it was strength in confidence for the boys of Bloodlines- and they suffered little to no loss to the Slim Fits.

Ziau took a step back and pulled the brick from his hoodie pocket, tossing it and crushing the man's nose- sending him into a rage, the other men of the Slim Fits rushing in- sending out bullets and battle cries- and that is all that would be heard for five long minutes that night- that night before Bloodlines ended their alliance with their most trusted mentors and allies. Boys of all ages- orphans- fighting all of their life- fought that night, only losing ten of their own and slaying more than forty grown men. Ziau brandished a pistol in his left work boot- he kept it there for safe keeping, and tonight he fired off every round, he made sure that they were prepared- though not a single one of them cheered. Without burying their dead- they only took their masks with them, the ten masks of the dead and walked along the boardwalk sad that not even the men of their world could go with them- to prepare- to live.

The following week they fought none- robbed none- killed none- simply danced, thrashed, rocked, and got drunk- yes,.. even a fourteen year old boy likes to feel numb- Ziau loved feeling numb. But the eight day they gathered up again and set off- this time to the uptown, Hollywood- where the rich lived- where the looting was thick and dangerous- where the military had gotten involved. Walking in a mob, twenty or thirty strong they walked the middle of the blacktop- and approaching them was a squad of C.R.N.A infantry stopping them with a held out hand. "Woah there partners,.. where are y-" He noticed they all wore masks, bandannas, hiding their faces and he took a step back and pointed his gun at the tallest boy of the group, Rick, he was a nice chap- nineteen- and a sad loss. The soldier growled for them to stop but Ziau reached for his pistol- Rick reached for his switchblade- and then the rifle fired off a burst- that is all it took. The boys mobbed- Rick hit the street, roaring, rioting- killing soldiers and innocent bystanders alike- it was a bloody scene and not many of the Bloodlines survived.

No masks to take, most died, Sin was hurt, his thigh bleeding buckets with a bullet hole in it- luckily Spade drug him off before the cruisers showed up. Fifteen Special Forces soldiers showed up in six different Humvees- and that is when Ziau fell to his knees and held his arms up- now a prisoner of the C.R.N.A's P.O.W camp- where people of treason and defection went to rot- essentially a hole in the San Andreas Fault. That day he thought that he should have died- he thought his brothers were gone- his gang was destroyed by what they feared the least- the government- the law. He was miserable, you must understand, he was still a boy, so he cried. They didn't even let him keep his mask- all he wore was a brown sack cloth- all he did was sit in a cell with a dirt floor, they didn't even feed them- they let the starve and eat corpses- dirt- the filth of the nation. The facility was disgusting- women- children- thugs- businessmen- common Joes- and the elderly all rotted here, and from the word, disease was abundant. Ziau was lucky never to catch one- but the max he expected was two weeks before he closed his eyes for good.

His first night there- the very first night something happened- a miracle- something fiery passed over head, and it drew the floor apart, it made him feel sweltering hot. The crazed- the sorry- the dead- and the living all began to burn, Ziau too- poor little boy, he caught fire. He burned- burned like he would want in the future- how he would want the whole world to go- and with that the first he had ever seen of Hell was torn open with his last mortal vision. Tentacles fed off of all men- embraced them- took them under- fed off of their hatred and sorrow- scoured their memories, and Ziau was one of them, considered a man like all else who passed- considered just as worthless- just as subjected to sin. He was given ebony in place of where apricot once reigned. He was given fire instead of blood, hate instead of care and compassion of his people -and he hated humanity with ever ounce of his body. Ziau embraced Abaddon- with a sword in each palm he was set loose as a soldier of the Thousand Years War.
++++
Seven years later- he is who you see today- you know him- you hate him or you love him, simply,.. this is where his story starts,... the end of what I have told you- this is how it all began- how it all became- Ziau Jua- brother of Nagorski and Barrett, Lycan, destroyer of all peace and treaty.

Edit:Fixed some typos is all :P

TaiDammit Ziau! Why'd you have to write your fan-fiction so awesomely?!01/28/09 14:54
ChasityDawesIt was quiet...it always was, they were tucked into a valley, the appalachian mountains, there was a stream nearby, clean water, they barely noticed the end of the world. The flames in the sky their only clue, they were overlooked as often was the case, sent someone down to the nearest city, to find the news, they never returned life went on.

The land was rich, they tore down what wasn't needed, saving the rest. They were left alone a peaceful farming community. The harvest was poor though, the light faded and dark when it did occur, they managed to survive.

Until the gangs came down, sweeping through the area, ravaging the land and the women alike. They burnt everything that could be burned, tore down that which couldn't. They killed almost everyone, anyone who resisted them They were angry, disturbed, they'd nothing else to do. they found her hiding in the woods after their blood lust had drained away, she was dressed like a boy, found it more practical, they took her for one, took her with them. She never bothered to tell them the truth. She exalted in the blood, the carnage, she was a child, but she was fierce, she fought well, they taught her to fight better, they of course found out she was a girl eventually, but by that point she was accepted as a fighter.

She found a boy around her age there, claimed him as a brother. They spent much time together, he taught her their ways, trained her, protected her when they needed it. They went through many towns and settlements such as hers had been, killing everything that stood in their way, eventually though, as all things do, the gang, for lack of a better word, began to fall apart, her and her brother broke off, going their own way, to find something new.

ShampooOK here is my first rough copy, not bad for saying i wrote this while i have the flu ^^ decided to go a bit further than just when it hit, since that would be boring, and this version has moosiiik :D I always find appropriate music should accompany creative writing.

--------

"Shana....There is something I would have you do...."

Her voice echoed in my mind when she told me of this task, it was important, so important she had at that moment transcended any desire to kill me. In hindsight, a part of me wishes this was not the case, for the sins I committed following her announcement may never be forgiven, not that it matters as I was damned since birth.

"Yes my Queen, speak and it shall be done" I replied, my tone flat, emotionless, she would command and I would obey, no matter the cost, no matter the task. It was after all my duty, I knelt before the towering demoness of Greed, my Queen at that time, but no longer, my head tilted down, my long white hair covering my face from her sight in case i displayed any emotion to whatever this latest of her tasks would be.

"The tainted world of mankind is soon to be scarred and the Heavens have made no move to protect it, the end of their time has arrived and the Lords of hell have chosen now to begin our assault, we shall take the earth, we shall wipe gods children from existance and begin a new era, and then with the combined force of the Hells we shall move against Heaven itself!"

The apocalypse, the end of the long war between Heaven and Hell, many succubi would talk of this, dream of being involved, and demons serving the other lords too, it was the destiny, the fate we all shared. What I had not expected, is my Queens command...

"And it has been decided, that you, High General Bloodmane, will be one of the few to lead the assault on the world of men, In fact Abbadon himself requested you be on the front lines, It seems he still remembers what you did to his Generals...you will take charge of the Succubi, you will fight any and all that come before you, in the name of the Hells, in my name!"

I have been a loyal General in the Royal guard of Giyehanim for much of my life, this should have been a great honor, however I knew more than a succubi should, her own words betrayed the true purpose of this, the front lines, the first in to battle, the first to engage the enemy, the first to sin, the first to die. I should have refused, questioned her intentions.

"Yes Queen Naamah, It shall be as you command" I stood and turned away, obeying as always, walking the length of her throne room gave me moments to contemplate my actions as the only way to ignore that I knew my Queen was smiling, I had to prepare my soldiers, I had taught many my path, of loyalty and honor, that the weak were not worth killing, that it was beneath us to act like mindless minions, I had to break that before this war began, I stopped outside the throne room as the large solid doors slammed shut, I brushed the hair from my face, and then began looking at my hands, how many times had these clawed fingers shredded metal, flesh and bone in my Queens name, I had fought for her many times, many battles, wars against heaven itself even, and now she wished me to fight the final war in her place.

Indeed the Lords of hell would not stand from their thrones, this was to be no war, it was to be a massacre...ultimately pointless and unrewarding, after ninety thousand years of killing, something in me had changed, perhaps it was old age, succubi rarely lived a few thousand years, and I had lived many times that, perhaps it is because I am not a pure succubi, but I preferred to think of it as old age.

"Mother, are you alright?" The soft voice brought me from my contemplation as I looked towards the three young succubi that had been waiting for me, my most trusted Generals within the royal guard. The taller of the three carrying a large sword on her back brought her hand down sharply on the top of the younger demons head "How many times have we told you to stop calling Lady Bloodmane mother Zeph, you know she isn't" the youngest rubbed her head, she was not harmed being physically stronger than the others, but always played into it "ouch, that hurt Atara, Elleyah tell her to stop picking on me!" she cried ducking behind the third who was currently cleaning her fingernails "Atara, stop picking on your sister, there i said it, can you shut up now?" Atara placed a hand on her face slowly shaking her head.

I smiled, something I only did in front of those who I knew would never betray my trust, these sisters had long served me, first as simple soldiers, then eventually rising above their siblings to become my only generals, They had developed their own personalities over time, If they were really sisters nobody knew, but all succubi consider their kind family regardless of lineage. "Lady Bloodmane, why do you permit her to address you so?" Atara asked me, it had long been a problem for her, perhaps because she wished to do this herself "I do not mind, you know I can not have children, in a way her familiarity is comforting." My smile faded "Come with me, there is a war coming and I will require your assistance" They said nothing, following quietly.

"Live in five Andrea" came a male voice as a young blonde woman dressed in a light blue business suit checked her hair and coughed once before she held up a microphone, taking a deep breath she began to speak facing towards a nearby camera held by an older man also dressed in a similar suit save the red baseball cap on his head, the large badges pinned to their chests indicating their identities as members of the media.

"This is Andrea Thompson on behalf of CNN, reporting to you live from New York where everyone has their eyes turned to the sky today in anticipation of what may be a once in a lifetime event" the cameraman panned over the large crowd of cheering people in the background, many only barely being held back by the local police forces, some holding up signs to family members and others waving towards the camera as the news reporter continued "Scientists have named the comet said to pass earth today 'Wormwood' they have assured everyone this is perfectly safe, it seems this comet will be close enough to view clearly from ground level and without any assistance, much more so than Haley's comet ever was, truly the turnout here today mirrors cities all over the world, wars worldwide have simply stopped as all eyes on Earth turn upwards to marvel at this truly astonishing and yes, once in a lifetime event, hold on something seems to be happening, can you see whats going on?"

The camera moved over the large crowd many of which now began pointing upwards as the sound of shouting and screaming grew "I'm not sure what we are seeing here its....what the..." many more screams began to sound and both the camera and the news reporter turned to face the crowd behind them "oh my god..." Andrea Thompson dropped her microphone for the first time in her career and she screamed along with millions worldwide, as a wall of fire covered the sky, and the many screams were silenced.

godsmack - straight out of line

When the gates of hell opened, armies representing each of the Demon Lords poured onto the world like a flood, nothing stood in our path, many nations and factions had arisen or rebuilt since the comet wormwood had rained fire upon the earth, and they fought us, fought for survival, fought against the behemoths of Abbadon, the Beasts of Leviathan, creatures which can only be imagined in your worst nightmares...

They had no chance, Soldiers, men, women, children...even infants...we slaughtered them all, even as Demons many of us could see no benefit to this, some enjoyed the killing, others only saw it as a waste of resources. But you can only kill so many unarmed children before you see yourself as a coward. Perhaps it was simply done to intimidate Heaven.

Mankind was already broken, their Buildings fell and cities burned. The succubi took to the skies, so many of us we blotted out the sun, we fought the meager air forces bringing down planes and helicopters, swooping down in waves to attack from above, Save a few strong opponents, there was no need to even be there, what was left of humanity could barely pool enough resources to hold our advance a few days, we flew the ground forces over oceans, overturning battleships, lifting them into the skies and dropping them on the very lands they fought to protect. Then after the fall of Europe, it happened.

Globus - Preliator

The battle cry I had expected. Told it would not come many were caught unprepared, the trumpet roar sounding the advance of the armies of Heaven stopped all action against mankind as the skies lit up, and angels descended, to this day I do not know how many, perhaps it was all of them, perhaps an advance guard, either way, the real war began. Humans surviving our assault began to pray, beg for salvation, the angels ignored them, driven by their lust for demon blood as much as we demons lusted for their blood.

It was Glorious

"Sisters to me" I called out flapping my wings faster to intercept the Angels and holding my sword forward as the Succubi under my command followed, other winged demons joining us, no longer was this organised by rank and lord, this was Demon against Angel, Heaven against Hell, my Generals stuck close to me as the armies clashed, blood and bodies from both sides fell from the skies, Angels that pushed through landed to continue the battle on the ground. I swung my sword cutting into the first angel before me, then striking out thrusting the blade into the chest of another only to have her grip the blade not in shock but defiance, I released the blade and moved to the next target, bringing my claws across his chest shredding through his plate armor in a spray of blood, reaching out and gripping another angels wing, closing my fist with a loud snap it broke, sending him spiriling out of control to the ground below.

I stole a glance to the side to see my youngest General Zeph take a heavy sword blow from behind cutting through her left wing, falling with more than a dozen angels around her, disarmed of her short swords which were piercing the chests of two Angels she continued to fight bare handed. "Zeph" I heard Atara cry out, her blood covered body flying past, wounds too numerous to count yet she spared no thought of this as she flew to the aid of her sister, I lost sight of them soon after as more angels surrounded me, I had long since lost sight of Elleyah and the few succubi near me becan to dwindle, I was alone and surrounded, the angels seeking to isolate the commanders sent more and more aginst me. Blades flashed as they sought to strike my body, i weaved between them in an aerial ballet fighting for what seemed hours, focusing into my right hand I struck one angel, a blast of air pressure tearing her clean in half and continuing through several more. I rotated my body bringing my taloned feet through the wings of another as a blade aimed for my head instead cut into my right arm, my armor having long since been broken, I felt nothing. I lashed out gripping the angels wrist in my left hand and snapping it much to his shock, the blade fell free and into my open right hand, the look on his face was as the humans say, priceless "How, a Demon can not hold that, only an Ang....guhck" I cut the fool off from finishing the sentence driving his own sword through his face. As his body fell away I turned to the others surrounding me, too many to count. Raising the sword over my head I roared in defiance and flew forwards.

The fighting continued for days, both armies suffered immeasurable casualties, at some point I had lost my left arm and wing yet kept fighting, later I discovered I had been the only one to continue fighting in the air and was why the battle fell from the sky and onto the ground. And then, when both armies were exhausted and all but decimated everything stopped, we all felt it, the war was over. There was no victor... Dropping to my knees surrounded by the bodies of Angel and Demon alike I cursed, what was it all for, was this how it ended, cheated of victory, cheated even of of death, forced to return and repeat the process again and again, who was to blame for this, the lords of hell, God?

"Mo...ther...You're a mess" The voice pulled me from my anger, tossing the blood covered sword I still held to the ground and turning to see the last few surviving succubi, many injured and holding each other up yet still waiting for my command, Elleyah stood between the bruised and bloodied forms of both Atara and Zeph, somehow able to ignore her own wounds and keep them both upright "You survived I see" Standing despite the serious nature of my injuries I approached them "What in the Hells is going on, what stopped us" Atara choked out from under her sisters arm. I could not answer and to this day I still do not know, the world was saved, the war between Heaven and Hell has stalled.

--------

"The armies of Heaven and hell broke apart, each side unable to explain why the fighting stopped, the survivors left the fields of battle in silence carrying their wounded and leaving the dead, the earth scarred and bloody, the surviving mortal races began to scramble in desperation for guidance and shelter now the demons and angels had vanished, The survivors gathered, prepared and planned to join the fight when they returned confident they would rebuild their shattered world. How little they knew, how naive they were. This battle was over but the war had only just begun"

Malice AshdeneAt the time of the Wormwood, Malice was still in heaven, had not gotten killed yet or thrown to earth, had not been rebuilt as a doll, or having her memory wiped, and was still a vain bitch who was too busy trying on new clothes to notice the apocolypse happening on the earth. She probably had an ipod or some other form of music listening decive that blocked out those annoying cries for help, and/or any orders to descend from heaven, thus effectively, not being present for such a large event.01/28/09 22:36

KagehiHmm. Already have bits of mine in my data on the forum for the Vanguard, and in a book I made up, which was sort of a history of the Kitsune race (or at least as known by my ancestors). The book may be floating around some place, since at least two people have it. In simplest terms: We knew something was coming, I was recruited, and started training, from among those races allied to the a secret society, to fight an invasion. It turned out that "both" sides where doing the invading, not just the demons, and we ended up between them and the mortal world, in that particular corner of the world. Things went... downhill from there.01/29/09 05:27
ZiauThanks Kage! If you feel like pasting some from your book- it would be GREAT! Or write something new and fresh like me! <301/29/09 05:33

*edit* after seeing how much it means to ya Ziau, i'm going to update this, and write it properly :) And here it is.

-----

Years before the day it all happened.

He was a young wolf back then. He joined the human military because hei was sick and tired of having his country invaded. So Maes decided to join up. He was in full control of his wolf form by then..so he was able ta stay looking like a human..even when he was under a full moon. Maes was stronger, faster, tougher and smarter than all the humans. Within a year he had become a general, Thats when they found out what he was, a wolf. It was tough for Maes, he was very patriotic. He joined the army because he was completely alone in the world, and it was tough trying to explain why he wanted to fight for Serbia..They figured that it wasnt his fight. The Humans knew what he was capable of, and what he could do, so they kept him.

Maes was better than them in almost every way, they didnt fear him, they respected him. After about a year of studyin him, They instructed him to find more wolves, who wanted to fight for serbia, and to form a special group. The first wolf brigade, They were called 'The black wolves', because just a handful of them could wipe out an entire battalion by themselves. So he formed up the special ops group, and he worked for the military for a long time. But the people in charge of us became old and eventually died. All the while he and his squad became stronger. Meanwhile, the men that replaced the people in charge of the wolves were not so fond of their kind, so they were all discharged. The black wolves were all cut from the army. But they stuck together, they formed up a merc group and fought for whoever made their wallets.
Maes would remember how alot of his good, human, friends had died in battle. It was hard being with the humans. Standing side by side in battle, sitting side by side in the trenches with the humans..fighting to protect Serbia, and each other. He became attached to them, Boding with them was inevitable. It was hard for Maes, watchin them all die, while he got stronger. He was glad he got out though, Workin for the military was fun and all, but he was just doin it because he had nothin else, nobody else.

Years later.

It was about that time earth came crashing down, when the world ended.

Maes and his squad were en route to a mission, they had to cut through a dense forest. The black wolves were comissioned to kill a group of insurgents that were stationed outside a little serbian town, called Negotin. They were going to attack the town and ransack it, A group of bandits or something like it. They were just about at the middle of the forest when the first asteroid hit the earth. It threw them all off their feet. None of them had any idea what was happening, first thing Maes thought was that he tripped on something, but when he got back up he fell straight back down. None of them could stand properly. and thats when the smaller asteroids began to pepper the earth. Him and his wolves watched it for a moment, They had no idea the asteroids were heading straight for them until it was too late.

It wasnt fair, Maes remembered. They did their best to scramble for cover, but his squad of 15 wolves were cut down to 12 within the first few minutes. The falling asteroids pelted the forest, lighting fire to the trees. Maes's closest friend got killed that day, Crushed by a huge fire rock. By the time he was able to move the rock, there was nothing left of him except for a burnt corpse. The rest of them managed to take cover in a deep cave. Maes was their leader, he blamed himself for their deaths, he couldnt do anything to protect them. How could he?
Maes sent out two wolves when the falling asteroids thinned, to scout the area, trying to find survivors in Negotin, or to find their comrades. The two were never seen again.
They were down to ten. By the time it all ended, they had lost another two, they had massive injuries...Maes and the squad could not do anythin for them. Maes did his best to give them and honorable burial, a soilder's burial. They were all good men, the Best men Maes had ever served with. His best friend died, He was the closest thing Maes had to family.
They split up after the apocalypse, They all went their seperate ways.

However, the last remaning black wolves get together every year to honour their fallen comerades, their true brothers, with a hunt. They are all lycans afterall

Cheza~Imagine if you read this excerpt from a battered diary~

Jan. 28th , 2039

I always used to believe in things that were much further out in front of my nose. The will to seek, and the strive for something more. What was I seeking? Heh.. I honestly never really had an answer for that. Though, I was content with never needing an answer. I firmly believe that every individual lives for something, wants to achieve something that requires a further stride step in your run, and if you ran fast enough.. you would eventually reach it. The problem with this concept.. is that help is required. Be greatful for the people you have around you.. that help you with your downfalls, and encourage from your mistakes. I write this today.. in this specific diary.. in hopes that if someday this entire world ends.. if there is no single person left to attest to anything they have done. I will at least leave a mark. Like any artist who makes a statement for themselves, I will make a statement as well. “Live for today.. run for tomorrow”. If my mark is unheard.. I will care not. I will come back to it in my afterlife where my family and friends reside. They will greet me warmly, and hold up this writing to place in my hands in love and care, and I shall once again.. run alongside my pack.

China has a very mystical curiousity with wolves. The typical human response is to avoid at all costs, because we’re savage carnivores. This may be true to the hungry beast, however, we are always around. Watching.. observing.. and protecting. It was said a long time ago that man came from wolf instead of monkey. Here’s the reasoning:
Humans are animals. That is a proven fact. When animals are placed in situations to fend for themselves, they will. Animals eat, and animals sleep. The wolf lives by relying on others. A lone wolf is a dead wolf.. and the same is said about humans. Any human left to fend for themselves or refuse help to strive on their own.. has failed. In the end, the lonely human is broken.. sad.. and angry. Nature shows no pity for these emotions. Man must rely on another. Ever wonder why the canine was man’s best friend?
Wolves evolved to take human form when they saw fit to complete more complicated tasks. The proof is still in genetics. Humans have canine teeth, and still desire to hunt. Some individuals to this day have the ability to switch between human and wolf forms. This is a concept of lycanthropy. Though instead of being bitten as a catalyst for the transformation, these individuals were born with this ability. Individuals like myself. The individuals who attest to this concept as impossible, were obviously human.. and could never regain their ability to change at will.. ever.
We have rules: Protect those who can’t protect themselves, help your pack, and if in human form.. NEVER show your true wolf identity when amongst other humans. These were important to follow for the sanctity of our existence. Humans today would most likely be afraid of what they don’t understand or can even try to conceive, and would most likely destroy it. The wolf observes.. watches.. and learns. There’s a reason why their eyes seem to see right through you.

Jan, 29th 2039

I remember specifically shaming my father for dreaming so much. “Hunt, eat, and survive.. the three basic instincts of a wolf.” He used to say. “If you would spend more time hunting for your pack instead of staring at the moon, you could have fed all of us for months.” I couldn’t really help it though, the moon had something completely mesmorizing about it. The idea that it was so far and yet so close that sometimes you could reach out with your nose and lick it. I’m sure many have their different views of the moon, but no wolf can deny its beauty and serenity. I honestly wish I could have spent more time staring at it, because on the last day of it’s appearance, was the day we all started running.
It happened quickly. We had no idea who, what, why, or even where it was caused, but the air smelled different. It smelled.. artificial.. alien.. toxic. I remember being out by myself near our shimmer ponds when it happened. A faint boom .. could be heard. We of corse knew it was far away, but even over a large distance.. our land felt its effects. Within a relatively short time clouds would billow overhead.. gradually blotting out the sun as if shoving it further and further away. That too.. was also the last time I saw the sun. This specific event appeared to be a catalyst for something further beyond this plane. Something felt horribly wrong, and our senses were correct. This catalyst appeared to blur the lines between the spiritual world, and the physical like a big hole in this dimension. Demons.. spirits.. and angels appeared everywhere. As if to flood the already existing over-populated planet. Then .. the fighting ensued. Naturally the angels fought the demons for control. The spirits fought with themselves.. the need to want to return to the physical plane in some hopes of regaining their existence.. maybe to redeem whatever the had fouled.. or maybe just to cause more pain. We decided to help the humans.. to finally reveal ourselves. This also meant we partially allied with the angels since sanctity and protection where their key ideals. The demons sought only pain… suffering.. and flesh. Their innate desires drove us to fight against them, and at first we were extremely successful. Our packs fought in groups.. and as long as we stuck together.. we would be victorious. The demons knew this all too well, and decided to take on a new strategy. Demons had the ability to posses.. and therefore entered into some of our allies. This in turn caused distrust.. and gradually split the allied races apart.. leaving wolves to themselves. New wolves had awakened from bitten humans.. though their shape was a more two-legged figure, and unbeknownst to us.. some demons came along in their journey. At inopportune times, the demon imposters would seclude certain wolves.. and slaughter them. Leaving only their pelts behind on pikes. Beaten.. outnumbered.. and scared. My pack decided to run.

KaiK.. so no laughs... I tried...

Kaiede’s Story

“Do you remember?” His voice was barely a whisper over the burning wood. I normally wouldn’t be so foolish as to allow a fire being built at night. Our vision was keen enough that it wasn’t needed, but he was cold- and I had never been good at saying no, or denying anything he wanted. I looked up from my idle prodding of the meager fire, I’d managed for Oli.

“Yes.” Of course I remembered. He looked so small- still a pup by anyone’s standards; but then again so was I. His eyes were downcast, examining something very intently in the dirt. This wasn’t my favorite topic of conversation on a good day. Iain was out on a hunt, leaving me to sit here and babysit, as always. So much had changed for us in the last four years and yet nothing at the same time. I ground my teeth, internally fuming over having to always be left behind. Even now, when there was no more pack. No more elders and alpha’s to tell me what to do and not do. I jabbed my stick into the fire with a little more force then was absolutely necessary, embers sprayed over Oli’s side.

“Hey!” He yelped and jumped up, beating furiously at his clothing and skin where they had landed. He glared down at me critically. A look that I normally would have laughed at, but he tried so hard to be an adult, so I didn’t dare. “You know, just because you’re ticked at Iain doesn’t mean you get to take it out on me.” I held up my hands in surrender, doing my best to hide the smile that was fighting to pull the corners of my mouth up. “Alright, alright. I’m sorry.”

“Will you tell me about it?” He paused, moving around to my side of the fire slowly. “Please?”

I patted the ground next to me, sighing. “Do I have to?” He sat down beside me shaking his head fervently. I looked away from him- staring into the flames until my eyes began to hurt. I’d evaded the question for four years now, but he was right, he needed to know what happened. Why everything changed.

I pulled him close to me, wrapping my arms tightly around him. I never wanted pups myself, but Oliver had grown on me. I couldn’t imagine life without him now. We’d found him on one of our many raids through the Pacifica Territory. Sticking to smaller towns along the west coast of the former United States. Iain and I had left our pack some years before, while I was still considered a pup- we preferred being on our own. Pack life was too many rules, too much politics for our liking. We’d traveled south from our Den in Northern Oregon. Hunting when the mood struck us. Running after the bloodsuckers for sport. Enjoying the freedom’s that the lawless world allowed our kind now.

It had been somewhere in Northern California where we found Oli. Iain managed to find us some shelter for a change, it was a treat for us to sleep indoors; though, you could never truly know what was around you. The warehouse was abandoned, but distinctly held the scent of our kind- Lycans. We’d checked and rechecked the surrounding warehouses for any signs of our kin. If it had been a Den, our squatting would not have been taken lightly. It was there in the third warehouse we check that we found Oli, and the rest of what must have been his kin at one time. Pups and Elders alike. All slaughtered. Their bodies broken and contorted into positions that made me cringe even now to think about. Oli escaped by luck- I was sure of it. No one who was this careful to destroy a pack would leave a pup alive for no reason.

“Kaaaaaieeedeee” He whined at me. “Tell me please?? If you don’t I’ll just have Iain do it, ya’know.” It was an empty threat, I could feel it, but a smile curved the corners of my mouth just the same.

“You do that, and I’ll have to beat you both down. Besides my mate wouldn’t be so silly as to betray me for a little pup!” I beamed down at him, trying to take his mind off Wormwood, ruffling his already unruly hair and nuzzling my cheek against his.

“Aww.. c’mon Kai. Please?” His ears folded back on his head, as he ignored my teasing to gaze up at me solemnly. “I… I want to know.”

I looked away from him, my teeth grinding against themselves. He was too young. Iain and I had done our best to shield him from what life really was these days. Lawless. Dangerous. My brows pulled together into a tight knot in the middle of my forehead as I contemplated my options. “I’m old enough!” His indignant pursuit continued.

I dropped my arm from his shoulder, letting my eyes wander down to the rough gravel at my feet. “What do you want to know?” I conceded. I couldn’t ever seem to hold much out from him.

“Everything!” He jumped up and away from me with excitement. “Where you were when Wormwood killed all the humans! Where my parents are! When the Demons and Angels came up and started their war! I want to hear it all, sis! Please, please please??” Oli hopped from one foot to the other, his words running into one long word, as he rambled on every subject he needed answers on.

“I can’t tell you where your parents are, sweety. You know that.” I pulled my knees into my chest, my chin resting on them, my eyes closed. “Why don’t we just start with Wormwood, and go on from there?” I could feel him sitting down close to be again, settling in for what I’m sure he hoped to be a long story. I let a smile curve my mouth out of habit. He was too curious for his own good.

“Alright. We were in a small city outside of San Diego when Wormwood hit earth. You were maybe 3 or so. It was just after Iain and I had found you..”

“What was it like? Did everything go up in flames? Did you see people being burned alive? Did you see any demons??” He was barely staying seated as he interrupted my story with a barrage of questions. I glared down at him critically. “Are you going to shut it and pay attention, or am I going to stop telling the story?” His eyes went wide with horror as he clapped his small paws over his mouth. Oli shook his head back and forth vigorously, as I broke out into a smile at his reaction. I had expected the questions, but not so many at one time.

“Yes, Most things burned almost immediately.” I answered his first question matter-of-factly. “It was like the sky was perpetually scorched in flames. There was no sunset- no sunrise. No change in anything. It was all a red haze.” I looked back down at my hands, frowning. “Most people caught in the initial rain of fragments were killed instantly. I don’t know that humans are completely extinct, but I’m sure they are dwindling. They don’t have the dexterity we do, and since Wormwood hit there are more than just Lycans about for the Human’s to worry over.” I grinned at him devilishly. I know that embellishment would only result in more questions, but I couldn’t help it. Oli’s eyes grew wide, I could almost see the images and thoughts is imagination was carrying him off to.

I turned my eyes down again, investigating a particularly interesting looking pebble. My ears flattened back against my head, as I frowned again at the memories I was recalling. “It had been like the earth had never existed like I remember it. It’s always been a rough place here, even when I was with my pack, but just then- it was like none if it had ever been. It was like being dropped into Hell, and being left to burn…” I trailed off. I didn’t like talking about Wormwood. Our family, as far as Iain and I knew were all killed by the initial fragments that fell through Earth’s atmosphere, or they were defeated by the massive battles that soon followed. When Heaven and Hell opened their gates, freeing their own brand of warriors on the already mutilated land. Demons from below wreaking havoc on everything they touched Angel from above, raining destruction down on the Devil’s servants and anyone who happened to get in their way.

As much as I had hated pack-life, I never missed it as much as I did at the moment I saw the world go up in flames. Charred and blackened bodies lay lifeless at random everywhere we had traveled. Nowhere seemed to be lucky enough to escape unscathed by the disaster. We’d made the journey back up to Northern Oregon hoping to find survivors, praying to whatever deity’s that might still be listening that our kin was still alive and surviving, but we found our old Den torn to pieces- barely recognizable from the outside.

My heart felt like it might shoot out into a million pieces, and my breathing was thick and slow, remembering everything. I could feel the tears welling up already… No one had any warning. The former United States was in such disarray. They were too concerned about what rebellion was getting out of hand, and where. Not anything else that could tear the world apart. Iain and Oli and I had survived, but that was purely on luck. Right place, right time. Our family… my family – weren’t as privileged.

I’ll never forget the day we searched through the rubble that used to be our home. The bodies strewn around in every direction. Some broken beyond repair from attacks that must have followed the meteor. Others burnt to nothing more than bone and ash.

“Oh…Kai… don’t be sad.” I could feel him curling up against my arm, trying to comfort me from my own memories. “I didn’t mean to make you sad, sis.” He murred against my arm, quietly. “I just want to know what happened.. This is all I’ve ever seen. You and Iain talk about the world like it was so different and stuff..” I swiped at my tears futilely, pulling him close to me with my other hand.

“It’s hard to think about, Oli. The world wasn’t perfect, but it was ours. There was no warning.. or if there was, not enough of one to make a difference for so many.” I could feel my voice cracking as I pulled him closer, just wanting to feel his warmth. I looked up from the fire, my head falling back looking into the hazy film that was a constant thing- night or day. The world had changed drastically. The apocopolypse of so many religions had come true, and here we were living through it.

Oli settled in next to me, his shaggy hair brushing against my arm, his breath warm and comforting against my skin. “You should get some rest. Iain will be back soon, and won’t be pleased to see you awake still.” I teased him. He was anxious to be on the hunts with my mate already. I felt his nose crinkle against my arm, “He won’t be mad… He said he’d take me on the nex….” Oli stopped short, but I was already on my feet. A long high-pitched howl broke through the unnatural quiet that had surrounded us for so long. I knew the pitch, and tone of that howl anywhere.

“Iain..” I breathed. I scanned the woods around where we were camping, my heart thumping up into my ears and increasing in volume ten times over. “Oliver” I barked, “Put that fire out now, and stay here.” I turned away from him, already moving into the direction I had heard the howl come from. I felt my body shifting on its own accord, skin bubbling and disappearing, fur taking its place. My muscles changing and hardening almost instantly as I shed my human form.

“Kai.. don’t leave me here..” Oli came running to my side, his little arms flung around my deep auburn fur of my neck. I shrugged him off quickly, growling and baring my teeth, making sure my point was clear. Iian needed me, and I could do no other then heed to my mate’s call.

I loped through the dense trees towards where the sound of his call had come from. Oliver would be alright. If there was any danger, it was clearly where Iain was… pushing my muscles harder then I had ever tried to in my life, I followed the howl…

Meeeh…. Lame ending but I haven’t sat down and written anything in a good long while…

KagehiHmm. Ok, here goes. A really bad day in the life of a reaper, now turned guardie:

Kagehi sat, resting against a tree, in one of the abandoned villages of Nippon. Crazy humans had been moving out of the places for years, leaving behind nothing but empty buildings and the occasional old person, who refused to move away. He really wished some days that he could have been closer to Tokyo, or one of the other cities. He still had trouble with the language some times, having been born, and living much of his life, in America, specifically California, before his guardians, his parents having apparently died in some other mess, had insisted something terrible was going to happen soon, like the insane stuff already going on wasn't bad enough, and they all needed to shuffle off across the ocean to do something about it. They where "called", or so they said. All he knew is that Tokyo was the best place to find lots of gadgets, games, and interesting foods, as well as play the occasional joke on some fool that didn't know not to annoy a Kitsune.

But, here he sat, on some other island in the chain, in the middle of no place, watching a bunch of other "recruits" learn how to practice a bunch of chants and stances, which where supposed to give them the ability to fight some coming invasion. It was all damn silly really. He had figured out pretty quick that all the stances and chanting was just form, like carving the imprint of a dragon in a rock, then pouring water into it, so it would freeze looking like a dragon. Why someone didn't just make the damn water shape itself into a dragon, then freeze it, he just didn't get, and he had been chastised more than a few times for performing the forms, and the chants, perfectly, but then, as a joke, conjuring flower petals, or blue bubbles, or the one case where he made a very real looking badger, which chased the sensei around the training areas for a few minutes, to the laughter of the rest of the class. He had spent the rest of the day scrubbing floors for the effort, but it was still worth it. Besides, unlike the rest of the bozos here, who actually seemed to *need* all the hand waving, special stances and babbled nonsense, he hadn't almost killed anyone with a misfired energy bolt, unlike several of the new group he was now watching yell at each other over the mistake.

Sighing, he took out some old device he had managed to scavenge from a store that had been abandoned in the village he was in. It had fallen behind a sign, which never got removed, and missed when everyone else packed up. Couldn't have been that long ago, since he had been looking for something like it when he ended up being dragged over seas five years earlier. Something called a iPalm, one of the early models with only half a gig of memory, remnants of the horrible database file system in the old Palms, so it would still run older software, and what Apple had ironically named their "Atlantis" addition of their iPhone software, which, like the famed island, had rapidly sunk when a glitch in their software for running the new isolinear based memory had caused the entire line to crash one night, and not just the recently patched ones, like that prior Y2K+9 bug that had hit some other product from a now defunct software giant over 20 years earlier. Apparently, this must have been one of the ones shipped with the corrected drivers, since it still worked right.

The damn thing fascinated him, it wasn't as smart as the androids some people had finally managed to invent, which the locals all seemed to call "Boomers", which took him a bit to figure out that wasn't in reference to an obscure Anime, not that old 2008 show Battlestar Galactica. However, it almost seemed to be able to "think" some times, and he thought he was starting to get how the bits inside of it worked, at least enough to be able to "nudge" some of them into working, without tapping the screen, or otherwise manipulating any of the controls. In what was about to be a moment of serious irony, he was, in between glances at the antics of the fools in the training area, watching an old movie called, "Armageddon", on the device. He was in the middle of watching them drill into the meteor when the ground started to shake. Being not all that uncommon in Nippon, this was ignored, until it kept shaking, and getting worse, at which point he looked up, about to ask what the hell was going on, only to see everyone else stumbling around, or staring at the sky, with looks of confusion and fear on their faces. Falling from the sky where streaks of fire, not unlike some of the stuff in the movie Kagehi had been watching.

Standing up unsteadily he tracked the path of one of a flaming speck, trying to work out of where it was going to hit, but the trajectory was too close. Where ever it hit, it would be almost on top of them. Others screamed and started to run, as they realized the implication, which sensei shouted at them, and tried to get them all back through portals, opened into the societies home plane. But, those that listened where inexplicably cut down, as, instead of a stable passage filled with shadows, a screaming hoard of creatures pored out. Some where the obvious "demons" of the sort labeled as such by a certain stripe of radical lunatic in the states, others... he blinked a moment in confusion, the others looked like nothing less than the sort that the same lunatics called "angels", but both seemed to see the societies recruits as nothing more than an obstacle, in the way of fighting each other, and getting through the tunnel.

Moments later the fragment hit, far enough away that the barrier in place to hide the training ground kept it from burning away everyone there, and throwing the remnants to the winds, but the jarring tore open the earth, dumping some of the invaders and recruits into the opening. This jarring caused Kagehi to stumble, unable to use his innate abilities to compensate for such a sudden shift in the earth, and both his iPalm, and sword, which had still been sitting again the now leaning tree, tumbled away. The sword he didn't mind, anything infused with enough reishi impregnating a blade, any such weapon can function as a reaper's blade, that being yet another annoying fiction he had figured out, and been chastised for. Apparently, using an infused ladle wasn't "funny" to some people... The iPalm though.. Where the hell was he going to get another one of those, never mind all the stuff he had put on it since? However, in the while in the middle of thinking this, he was suddenly tackled by one of the sensei, who, along with a few others, was taking advantage of the smoke and flames outside the barrier, and the passing of the impacts pressure wave, to get the hell out of there. In fact, he got knocked out in the process.

Kagehi woke hours later to loud shouting, on what seemed to be pitch black night, in a rocking boat, the light of flames flickering over the water in various places, and a vague sense from the conversation that someone in another boat was trying to work out if the people in his boat where Yakuza, and if any of them where demons, since the people in the other boat where the former, and had just escaped some sort of massacre in their own ranks, from what was apparently demons hidden among their own members. All he could think, before collapsing again into unconsciousness was, "Duh!"

Bloodmane - The Fall Of Mankind

I had been summoned, Naamah always summoned me at the worst times, this time it had come while training the youngling succubi in military tactics and battle formation, so the inconvenience was minor. However each time I was summoned alone to the throne room I was given a task, the last time it had happened my Queen sent over five thousand of the most loyal and trustworthy soldiers under my command to their deaths, to bring down one rogue arch demoness, the same arch demoness by the name Salurial had informed me the whole event was in fact orchestrated by Naamah to rid herself of specific opposition to her rule, I did not believe this at the time, but now, after having seen so much and heard the rumors, I did not know what to believe, the only reason I had not investigated more thoroughly was out of duty....loyalty....

The great doors to the throne room opened before me, Huge composites of crystal and metal enchanted to withstand the greatest of magic or physical punishment, only once had these Great doors been breached, by the Arch Angel Anesaria, the only Angel who had been within inches of striking Naamah herself. Many memories filled me as i walked the length of the great Throne room of Giyehanim, banners and tapestries depicting conquests and paying homage to Naamah adorned the walls, light shone through the crystalline roof and only helped to illuminate the treasures Naamah kept on open display. Passing through as always the guards each nodding toward me as a gesture of respect, many I had personally trained and hand picked to protect our queen, I returned the nods eventually coming to a halt before the Great throne of crystal and gold, to describe Naamah's seat of power is near impossible, the throne itself a grand collection of trophies, precious metals and stones, Naamah was a collector of all she wanted, and we her children saw to it that she was rarely denied for long.

"Shana....There is something I would have you do...."

Her voice echoed in my mind when she told me of this task, her tone was different and said to me this was important, so important she had at that moment transcended any desire to kill me. I was wrong of course, and in hindsight, a part of me wishes this was not the case, for the sins I committed following her announcement may never be forgiven, not that it matters as I was damned since birth.

"Yes my Queen, speak and it shall be done" I replied, my tone flat, emotionless, she would command and I would obey, no matter the cost, no matter the task. It was after all my duty, I knelt before the towering demoness of Greed, she was my Queen at that time, but no longer, my head tilted down, my long white hair covering my face from her sight in case i displayed any emotion to whatever this latest of her tasks would be.

"The tainted world of mankind is soon to be scarred and the Heavens have made no move to protect it, the end of their time has arrived and the Lords of hell have chosen now to begin our assault, we shall take the earth, we shall wipe gods children from existence and begin a new era, and then with the combined force of the Hells we shall move against Heaven itself!"

The apocalypse, finally the end of the long war between Heaven and Hell, many succubi would talk of this, dream of being involved, and demons serving the other lords too, it was the destiny, the fate we all shared. Many of those died long before now, and some did not believe this would ever come to pass, a part of my displaced soul felt sorry for humanity as so much of our own culture was now influenced by theirs, as we had in turn been influencing them. What I had not expected, is my Queens command...

"And it has been decided, that you, High General Bloodmane, will be one of the few to lead the assault on the world of man, In fact Abbadon himself requested you be on the front lines, It seems he still remembers what you did to his Generals...you will take charge of the Succubi, you will fight any and all that come before you, in the name of the Hells, in my name!"

I have been a loyal General in the Royal guard of Giyehanim for much of my life, this should have been a great honor, however I knew more than a succubi should, her own words betrayed the true purpose of this, the front lines, the first in to battle, the first to engage the enemy, the first to sin, the first to die. Abbadon like Naamah seemed to have a desire to destroy me, when I was a youngling Naamah had taken me, a new weapon, to visit Abbadon's realm, The scientists of Giyehanim were still experimenting with my genetic heritage at that point, pushing me further and further to test my limits. I had not been born as most succubi, I was specially bred as a bio weapon, Guardian Succubi, a new breed. They had been pleased with the results but wished to test how long I could last in real combat. I had been thrown ungraciously into a fighting pit along side nine of Abbadon's most powerful Generals, each a monster caring nothing for life or honor, just relishing in blood and the pain they inflicted. The sight of a small naked succubus less than half their size as their opponent at first made them laugh, outside the arena Abbadon himself stood watching with Naamah, neither laughed.

That was the day I received the title of Bloodmane.

I should have refused, questioned her intentions....

Indeed the Lords of hell would not stand from their thrones, this was to be no war, it was to be a massacre...ultimately pointless and unrewarding, after ninety thousand years of killing, something in me had changed, perhaps it was old age, succubi rarely lived a few thousand years, and I had lived many times that. I had begun to question my duty, my purpose and my Queen, perhaps it is because I am not a pure succubi, but I preferred to think of it as old age.

"Mother, are you alright?" The soft voice brought me from my contemplation as I looked towards the three young succubi that had been waiting for me, my most trusted Generals within the royal guard. The taller of the three carrying a large sword on her back brought her hand down sharply on the top of the younger demons head "How many times have we told you to stop calling Lady Bloodmane mother Zeph, you know she isn't" the youngest rubbed her head, she was not harmed being physically stronger than the others, but always played into it "Ouch, that hurt Atara, Elleyah tell her to stop picking on me!" she cried ducking behind the third who was currently cleaning her fingernails "Atara, stop picking on your sister, there i said it, can you both shut up now?" Atara placed a hand on her face slowly shaking her head.

-------

Even in Hell we felt it, the comet known as Wormwood grazed the Earth, It was not a direct impact, but the skies were burned as debris fell upon the major cities reducing some to rubble, others to ash. I knew it was time, a simple nod to the Magi informed them to open a doorway, the portal was literally a tear in reality between hell and earth, the remnants of humanity would be putting things back together and rebuilding, when we arrived all they had accomplished in the short time would be destroyed.

When the gates of hell opened, armies representing each of the Demon Lords poured onto the world like a flood from the many portals created at each realm, the Earth shook and split, humans ran into the streets both in panic and curiosity, those were the first to fall, torn apart by tooth and claw, destroyed by magics and beam weapons the humans have no name for. Oh yes, the Hells were holding nothing back, as Succubi are winged demons we provided Air support to the ground forces. The first few cities and towns fell quickly, then word must have spread to alert soldiers and other fools that joined in believing it possible to stop us, when the first real warriors met our advance with aircraft, tank and gun. relics of the old world along side salvaged and discovered weapons the humans fought with them all, and once those were torn apart and the ammunition disappeared they used sticks and rocks.

Nothing stood in our path, many nations and factions had arisen or rebuilt since the comet wormwood had rained fire upon the earth, and they fought us, fought for survival, fought against the behemoths of Abbadon, the Beasts of Leviathan, creatures which can only be imagined in your worst nightmares...

Many of my soldiers proved even demons have limits, some think all demons are ruthless mindless killers, not true, we are just as diverse as the human race or even the Angels of heaven, we can feel joy, anger, sorrow...pain....well some can. Zeph was the first to feel this war was wrong, she would not be the last, even Abbadon's soldiers had began to complain that there was no fight no challenge to this war, those who loved conquest and destruction were angry it was too easy. Of course some demons loved the war, because it was easy, but even among demons there are cowards who can only prey on the weak, occasionally we saw them, tentacles dragging women and children into the shadows to do whatever they could get away with, most of my soldiers tried not to think about it, but when the most seriously wounded began to disappear from the battlefield we suspected our own allies of betrayal.

Succubi are proud, and so there was a unanimous agreement, if wounds were beyond field treatment the wounded were to be given a swift death. It was not long after this that I was called to a building, an old human church among city ruins that had survived the comets destruction quite well, some soldiers had been making camp outside this building and were now scattered about, Zeph and a few succubi were standing around the main door to the building, it had been splintered open and although it was dark I could hear the quiet sobbing from inside.

"Zeph, report, what did you call me over here for, some humans to the east have fortified themselves within an old missile silo, they may have nuclear weapons, even we could fall to a few of those." Zeph looked into the church then shaking her head she looked back at me, her red eyes literally shaking as she clenched and unclenched her fists, I softened slightly, Zeph was strong and deadly with short swords, but she was still young and held too much compassion, she could kill but only if needed, she was so much like me. "You cant do it can you?" I asked, the question was simple enough, she stared at me, horrified that I was able to read the situation so clearly. "Mother...Lady Bloodmane, I cant...they...they are younglings" she looked down ashamed of herself "I cant kill younglings, they cant even fight back..we cant..." I understood, there was no point to killing that which could do no harm or hinder our progress, yet our orders were clear, kill and destroy, we were monsters after all. "Return to the main force Zeph, the rest of you act as escort" I commanded, they obeyed slowly walking away as Zeph followed closely behind, a single tear slid down her cheek that did not go unnoticed, neither did the slithering movement in the shadows to my right. I turned entering the church, Zeph was correct, there were only children inside.

It was quick, the cowards would have no prey this night.

Mankind was already broken, their Buildings fell and cities burned. The succubi took to the skies, so many of us we blotted out the sun, we fought the meager air forces bringing down planes and helicopters, swooping down in waves to attack from above, Save a few strong opponents or installations, there was no need to even be there, what was left of humanity could barely pool enough resources to hold our advance, our slaughter a few days, we flew the ground forces over oceans, overturning battleships, lifting them into the skies and dropping them on the very lands they fought to protect.

Then after the fall of Europe, it happened.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q6skxRLnsI
Globus - Preliator

The battle cry I had expected. Finally.

"Sisters to me" I called out flapping my wings faster to intercept the Angels and holding my sword forward as the Succubi under my command followed, other winged demons joining us, no longer was this organized by rank and lord, this was Demon against Angel, Heaven against Hell, the soldiers of Abbadon roared at the arrival of something worth killing and the shadows trembled. My Generals stuck close to me as the armies clashed, blood and bodies from both sides fell from the skies as weapons and magics exchanged from every angle, Angels that pushed through landed to continue the battle on the ground. I swung my sword cutting into the first angel before me, then striking out

thrusting the blade into the chest of another only to have her grip the blade not in shock but defiance, I released the blade and moved to the next target, bringing my claws across his chest shredding through his plate armor in a spray of blood, reaching out and gripping another angels wing, closing my fist with a loud snap it broke, sending him spiraling out of control to the ground below, another came in to my right only to find the tip of my tail grazing his throat in a shower of red, he clutched at his neck as another succubus impaled him on a lance before she was torn apart by an energy blast. The chaos was everywhere, rank and file forgotten, orders ignored and positions abandoned, it was a frenzy.

I stole a glance to the side to see my youngest General Zeph take a heavy sword blow from behind cutting through her left wing, falling with more than a dozen angels around her, disarmed of her short swords which were piercing the chests of two Angels she continued to fight bare handed. "Zeph" I heard Atara cry out, her blood covered body flying past, wounds too numerous to count yet she spared no thought of this as she flew to the aid of her sister, I lost sight of them soon after as more angels surrounded me, I had long since lost sight of Elleyah and the few succubi near me began to dwindle, I was soon alone and surrounded, the angels seeking to isolate the commanders sent more and more against me.

"Mo...ther...You're a mess" The voice pulled me from my anger, tossing the blood covered sword I still held to the ground and turning to see the last few surviving succubi, many injured and holding each other up yet still waiting for my command, Elleyah stood between the bruised and bloodied forms of both Atara and Zeph, somehow able to ignore her own wounds and keep them both upright "You survived I see"

Standing despite the serious nature of my injuries I approached them "What in the Hells is going on, what stopped us" Atara choked out from under her sisters arm. I could not answer and to this day I still do not know, the world was saved, the war between Heaven and Hell has stalled. My tail wrapped around a dagger on the floor, flicking to the left it flew past the body of an unconscious succubus and into the shadows, black tendrils withdrawing with a loud hiss, perhaps before we left it was time to deal with a few traitors...

I like it- I like where you are going, GREAT piece, still means a lot and if it could mean more it would with the update. And hell- I cannot say anything bad about anyone posting here. Thanks SO much and hopefully we are setting example and MANY more people with post <3

Oh yeah- one more thing- never be scared to read other people's fiction than mine- they post it here for you to enjoy, for you to get to know the characters you interact with, at least even a little bit. Always appreciate writing- that is a part of culture that is disappearing- the written word- the language is becoming ebonics and in the end this is all we have to make us distinct- our writing.

PLEASE support the Character Fiction forums as well as the entire CCS community forums- they are here so you have a voice and a place to share your thoughts.

JustifyWhen the apocalypse transpired, Justify was only thirteen years old. Years before that, when he was still just a kit, he lived with his parents, along with his brothers and sisters. They lived a happy, carefree lifestyle. Farming, hunting, and gathering was a way of life deep in the Appalachian wilderness. Everything was peachy until one day a band of humans, looking for someone who'd murdered a small child, came around and discovered Justify's family. Never having saw nekos (because during these times, they stayed off to themselves, I reckon) the humans panicked and attacked the small feline family, killing all of them except for Justy who somehow escaped into the woods. Sometime later, Justify came upon an old man who took him in and began to teach him about the world as well as how defend himself in combat. For years, the old man and Justify lived there in the mountains, hidden away from the outside world. Justify came to call the man father, and he loved him as much as he'd once loved his own family.

Well, all was well and good in Justy's world. All good that is until the day the world as he knew it would end. Justify had been napping by a stream with a fishing pole tucked securely in the crook of his arm. He was awoken to the sound of what he could only describe as what sounded to him like thunder in the distance. Little did he know that it was no such natural occurrence causing this, but in fact it was the nuclear weapons the American government was using in answer to the clusterfuck the world was spiraling into.

Justify raced to to his home as fast as he could, sensing something was horribly wrong. Whatever was going on, Justify wasn't sure. What he was sure of was that the ground was breaking open in places and through the cracks in the earth's crust, demonic creatures were coming forth. They brought with them the stench of brimstone, and the sounds of endless torment. On the other hand, the sky itself looked to be tearing itself open, and the armies of heaven were coming forth to combat the demonic invaders. Caught in the middle of all this was a scared neko teenager who just wanted to get hom to his father.

Upon reaching their home, Justify was horrified to find that he was too late. There, laying across the threshold of their cabin, was his father. He'd been disemboweled, and the skin from his face had been peeled off. Justify kneeled down beside the man's body and began to cry softly. He didn't care about the hellish beings surrounding him, or what they had in store for him. All he knew was that his father was dead, and he was alone. Anger began to well up inside him. He clenched his fists and darted into the cabin to get something. He emerged moments later with the sword that was his fathers. The same sword they had practiced with for years, and it was with this sword that he began to cut through the forces that would seek to do only god knows what to him. In reality, it seemed like it took a mere matter of moments, but in reality, Justy was cutting through demons for something to the tune of three hours. He fought and he fought until finally the last of them had fallen.

When Justy awoke, he was covered in blood that was not his own. It was dark and quiet. Had it all been a bad dream? The smell that filled his nostrils told him that no, it was in fact not a dream. He brought himself to his feet and began the unenviable task of wading through the stinking bodies, in hopes of finding someone, anyone who didn't wish him harm...

Justify traveled across what was once the United States. He headed west because he remembered stories his father had told him about how the government had built exspansive caves under the mountains there in case something like this happened. Justy figured that was his best bet if he was going to find survivors, even though he hadn't seen or heard any sign of any living thing, save for the demon or angels he ran across every now and again. He avoided them as best he coudl, though.

Finally, just as he was about to give up all hope, just as he'd almost succumbed to dehydration and fatigue, Justify finally reached the outskirts of what used to be a once great and powerful city. "Welcome to Los" was what the burned and deformed sign read. Justify had no idea what the rest of the sign was supposed to say though, so he just kept trudging on into the city.

*Disclaimer: I literally just set down and starting writing just for shits and giggles. It's not very good, nor am I one of the best story tellers, but I had fun elaborating on Justy's story for y'all.

...and omg, had I read the other posts in here, i'd have not even put mine in. Some of those are freakin' awesome! I think I'm having "word envy".

RuneCrimsonThe night was dark the stars where bright as the moon itself....The Exiled Emperor stood on a hill in the hills of Ireland. The city below the hills where busy the world had changed alot since he had given up his place of Rulership...His father had taken it and then in the rise of the Humans the drow and other creatures where forced to go underground or hide amoung the humans. Rune Crimson the exiled Emperor himself lived in seclusion only traveled at night to get supplies and he and his wife lived underground in a home he built with his own hands and powerful Magic. This very night he stood where he could see the town..but tonight he saw something strange something that made his heart hit his feet. Looked like a comet to him but it was hurling itself into the earth. Where it hit would be anyone's guess but the size of it would shatter the foundation of the world forever.

After the Fall of what Humans called Wormwood Rune Crimson and his wife began to venture out amoung people...some seemed more inhuman but he knew the time for other races and creatures was at hand. The night they ran around town there seemed to be histeria. Not much happened in Ireland but the thought of another Wormwood meteor was in the thoughts of every creature.

That night Rune slept uneasy...His dreams where of a far off place...A place that was devistated. The time of his exile was at its end. A voice called...One he had not ever heard...it Drew him to this far off place. So he and his wife set out to find it. The travels took many months. Stop after Stop in other countries and places. Soon he and Evona caught a boat to the place formally known as the United States. It was a wreck, Times had changed this powerful nation. They where attacked on many accations. But soon they ended up in what the people of the town called Lost Angels.

To this day that is where he and Evona are. Doing what he feels is right for the city. Whether most in the City think so or not...Rune was here to give honor and respect back to those in Lost Angels.

Keyla((There, Shamps. You made me do it ;) I know it's not as long as my usual pieces, but I guess everyone will be happy about that :P Hope it's a bit entertaining ^^ ))

The day Wormwood passed over the land, Keyla was just aware of it being a special one, but not of the reasons. They had been groomed and made pretty, a big party to be hosted in the evening. She was part of a large harem, of one of the big city's more influencial and wealthy moguls, and he took every opportunity to host big happenings.

Clad in nothing but a glittering array of silken shawls, gaping open at every opportunity, Keyla growled low as the female nekos caught with her tried to apply some makeup on her face. As usual, she was bound at wrists and legs, with thin golden chains that looked nothing more than jewellery but were made of some strong metal her muscles couldn't even bend. Also, the electric shocks made her feel dizzy, and the feline bitches running the harem seemed to enjoy making her pay for various times her tongue had run loose.

Outside the building, in the city of grey and noise, the young cat could see thongs of people looking up at the skies, wanting to witness the comet streak by. They had been assured there was no danger in this, so they flocked like lambs for the slaughter, and deep within her twelve year old soul Keyla wanted to pounce down in their middle and rip skin, flesh and bone apart. But they were parted not only by thick, unbreakable glass - she had tried, lots of times - but also by height that would give even her cat's skills problems to land on her legs.

She was ripped out of her reverie by one of the nekos who pressed the button to her collar, sending her into a spasming heap on the floor, gasping for breath.
"I's said 's time, bitch. Ya come wit' me."
The scantily clad white neko dragged her roughly to her feet, gripping the chain fastened to her collar and pulled her behind her down the richly carpeted corridor. The harem's wing was luxurious, most of the girls here at ease with their style of life. They hated her for the disruptions, and the bad temper of the males guarding them.

They went, together, into a huge ballroom, where the man they knew as Master let them flock around him, gesturing grandly around the room for his guests.
"These gems are my gifts to you. Feel free to make use of them." He chuckled darkly, motioning up. The glass ceiling lost it's shading, giving view to the open sky, where already the small fiery thing that was Wormwood streaked closer, though it would come closer still. A shower of smaller sparks seemed to break from it, and the guests oohed like it had been fireworks set loose only for them. Keyla saw the Master stiffen and mumble into his comm device that connected him to his staff. Something about a security shelter to be readied, just in case.

Herself, she was bound to a wall, free for entertainment, not deemed tame enough to mingle with unsuspecting guests. They had put one of these crosses in an alcove. It would save her life in the hour to come.

When the entertainment was in full swing, loud thunder could be heard from not too far away. Everyone looked up, the comet right overhead. Parts, once again, had broken loose and sped through the sunlit sky, fiery balls of doom. Screams started in the room, gasps of outrage and denial as one of the fiery pieces seemed to streak right for the skyscraper they were in. It's impossibly expensive magical shield - which not many knew about - tried to hold the piece of rock off. It averted it's course a fraction, but the power of the fragment was too great. It hurled past the building, ripping off the opposite wall from where Keyla hung, dragging screaming people with it to the depths of the city. The room had caught fire in several places, the rich silks burning like cinders. Looking around, Keyla couldn't see the Master. And she hoped he had been with the few dragged down.

A guard got her out of the chains just as a large piece of the glass roof gave, sending shrapnel of glass into soft flesh all around. The alcove they were in spared them of the worst, but the guard suddenly stiffened and fell onto her, where Keyla realized he had a huge chunk of glass in his back. Freed enough to get the key out of his still warm hand she twisted and finally fell free, warm blood coating her rich silks, a fierce glow in her eyes. It was chaos and mayhem, it was a catastrophe, and it was her chance for freedom. She skirted around the fires, she ignored the screams around, and darted towards the exit.

No blast of electricity came. No pain. Nobody to tackle her and get her back into the hated captivity.
Everyone was busy.

She made it out just as dark creatures started pouring into the flocks of sheep, her small body skirting to a halt, watching a huge axe cleave a human from head to toe.
Then the beast devoured parts of the body, looking for more prey, it's black hooves splitting the concrete, flames shooting from it's nostrils.
Keyla knew a bigger predator when she saw one and darted into side streets, ripped off the brightly coloured silks to blend in with dirty flesh and bloody bodies around her, and tried in vain to find a space in the chaos to make her escape. There was no space. The city of stone and noise was being overrun, it's inhabitants slaughtered, screams of the dying or worse echoing through the streets.

The young cat was in awe. This was what she had dreamed of, what she had wished for, her revenge for all the times these prey people had made her helpless. Without means to escape she fell into a bloodrage, her claws small but sharp, going against anything that tried to stop her, tried to touch her, tried to take away her freedom again.

She felt pain. Intense pain from countless wounds.
She felt fear, for weakness was closing in on her again, making her reactions sluggish and slow, while the war in the streets seemed to never end. Had it been hours? Days? And what were those things with the big wings?
What she didn't expect to feel at all, right in this moment, was what took her out. Her collar, sending shocks of electricity through her already battered body, sending her to the floor unconcious.

When she woke up again, her world had not changed at all. The small taste of freedom nearly forgotten already she found herself once more in another harem chamber. She hurt, a medic caring for the countless wounds on her body, her arms and legs bound to a bed so she couldn't fight.

The world had shifted, fallen, but hers stayed the same.

"You wouldn't think you'd get away from me, would you?" a warm, male voice came from the corner of the room. The Master's voice. He lived, then. She wanted to rip his throat out and watch him die. Keyla growled, but nothing would get her out. She had tried, for years, and he had always won. She stayed silent, out of defiance, as she always did.
"I've lost most of my harem in this... unfortunate incident. Good thing we've put the tracer on you."

And so she waited, in the bunker, hidden from the world once more. She waited for her chance, her bid for freedom, as there still were those wealthy and influencial, though by now mostly not human any longer.

The world had changed, and she watched it with the eyes of a predator waiting for her chance.

MissyI've already sorta posted the beginnings for Missy in a different part of this section of the Forums so I’m not sure what else I can add really. Missy lived in a small secluded rural town in the Kootenay region of British Columbia in Canada. It was small town strictly populated by humans (or so it was believed by the humans who lived there at the time anyway). Daily life didn’t change a whole lot for the tiny agrarian community after the impact of Wormwood, at least not a whole lot at first. Of course there was a disruption in communications systems and the like, but the community as a whole had been essentially self-sufficient for some time and remotely located from any major centers. The inhabitants were used to being isolated and enjoyed a sleepy, peaceful existence. Rumours of lycans, demons, angels, vampires and other creatures were attributed to legend and relegated as tales for entertainment. All of that changed one fateful day though; a day where Missy was the sole survivor of her sleepy little community. To read about it (the first two parts of Missy's backstory), click here:

http://ccs-gametech.com/index.php/colaccs-forums?task=viewtopic&id=103

I have continued Missy's story in 4 more parts in the Character Fiction section as well though I've slowed up on writing up more of her story since only 3 people other than myself have read the latest installment. There are a total of 6 parts so far and I imagine I'll keep writing as time permits, though I may not post anymore, I dunno.

AntiZero"Deus lo volte"- the cry of the first crusaders preparing for their holy conquest.

"For someone like him, there's no past or future. Neither really dead nor alive. He's living a half life between the one he was and the one he will be. He wears the facade of a fool, but I can see it in his eyes. There's only the void of solitude." Roland Goddard

"A reaver. That's the only way describe those damn Blackwind bastards. It's a shame a dog like him wasn't fitted for our services in another lifetime." Grimjaw, Abyssal Fiend

"Don't think a second thought Jack. You know what she'll do. I won't forgive you if you let me go. If you really like me like you said, then end my suffering. You never go back on your word, right Jackie?" Sarah Blackthorne.

"You and I are the polar opposites of each other John O'connor. Leon appears to be dead externally, but he is filled with emotion in himself. You...you are a corpse driven simply by the ideal of a man who selfishly sacrifices his life to feel alive. You feed upon the emotions of others to keep you going. When they finally turn away from you....then you can finally end this masquerde." Cerebus, the Black beast of Gaia.

He absently sleeps in the depths of that frozen throne; his body slumbers and seems to have give up its will decades before his punishment. The memories of the first short half of life play over and over again like a broken record.

This was a gamble for him each time, he stirred with each passing of his scarred past(figuratively and literally). The first time he pierced the girl he loved in the chest to save her from herself in the waning days of the Gilded Age. His sealed memory of that incident and the two years he spent with a tempest fiery girl and the true self of the one he murderered a hundred years before swept past him. The truth of the difference in his natural strength and the origin of his contradicting nature when he recieved his first facial scar from Grimjaw, the Abyssal Fiend. All these idyllic beginnings were a precursor to his bloody path.

The scene jumps to a decrept, ruined foreyard with dozens of iniatates with the same chance to enter the service of the Sentinels. The grueling training they put them through was to combat each supernatural threat and to not only defeat, but to put those abominations into their place. The entire order perfused a sense of fanatical zealotry to safeguard what they had scrapped for eons before against their former masters; When a dog tastes freedom for the first time, they will leave nothing in their ruthless wake to let that leash befall their necks again.

He recalls the first assignment with his father's old squad. He was as they called him "The Rook", a play on his green-horn status. The lingering, smoldering ashes of his captain's columbian cigar fade as he relives his first fire-fight with the Umbra Sidhe patrol. The scene shift to the diastorous arrival of the vessel of Gaia's hound. The Sidhe slaughtered by the puppet, and the gaint of a bastard frenchie Rivel's arm torn from his exposed right arm and laced muscles. Jack fights against the spectre of the beast with only his squad's support in the sky while Leon's voidwalkers tore through him. He strains himself, as the metal imbued chains of his Sidhe warden's bucked with the girth of his neck's veins breaking; the aftermath of the battle shifts to Daedulus's inner Ophelia sanctum as his unrestrained human cousin reacted violently to her recapture.

He didn't stand a chance in hell against her telekinetic prowess and Vivian drowned him a flood of horrific hallucinations of death, diease, and her own skewed, nightmarish perception of reality. His face morphs into a subdued, shameful frown; this memory was one of the most difficult.
He recalls it all. The first time he slept with Sasha at eighteen, his father rescuing him from Lily's sanctury, and the arrival of his antithesis, Armen, otherwise known as his younger brother Eric. The images spin along the jumping reel of his mind, as the end began.

The Shattered mustering their final stand against their vengeful brethen flickers for several panes. Leviathan's forces swallowed his younger brother's folly of an offspring in a fell swoop. Left on the decline since the schism with their stronger counterparts four hundred years earlier, the Shattered were at the end of their cycle during Jack's time. Nothing could help them since they thinned out their forces in order to maintain a three front war with the Sidhe, the renegade Drokan, and the uprisings of the isolated vampires, werwolves, and other elementals they contained barely for decades. It all fell apart for the Deciever's descendants. Their judgement was wrought by their ancient broter and sisters.

Jack squirmed and jerked as his omen cursed far-sight tore through his conciousness and forced him to bare witness to the raw desecration of the world. Lycans ripping apart humans with their bloodied fangs, vampires tearing into the tender necks of their victims and not content with a simple drink draining the essence from them; demons feasted upon the remains of their pathetic adversaries and mounted their scalped skulls upon their vestments as trophies of their bloody conquest. It was the quintessence of madness incarnate. The scene darts to a yellow eyed, lusciously busty black drapped demoness with fiery-crimson hair to match her burnished hue. She screams with the victorious death-cries of genocide and malice. The world pauses for a series of several seconds; her eyes met with his. Even though he doesn't know it, she knows. After all those years she finally found him; Locked away in a dim hole, she could end him any time she desired. Lily's lips twists into a devious, cryptic smirk as her eyes burned in the setting sun.
Jack finds himself pulled miles away as the scene ends with another woman. Her face is solemn, burdened by the insanity plauging all the races. She has evolved and become a rising leader within her people's plight. Like a warrior-queen she discards her doubts and musters to her clan with the wisdom attained from her haunting pasts. Vera stands alone, but she left behind her mortality and assumed the tremendous responibilities for her struggling clan. The Umbra Sidhe had survived both above and in the underground for eons in the Primal Age, this would be no different. She walks away from the light shining in on that one spot and leaves him behind. Then someone jerks the plug on his scyring eye, some force not wanting a voyeur of the coming event. He's back in that dank prison. Fateless, alone, and cold. The world should have left him behind.

The ghost of the Drokan awoke three years early in 2035. As everyone else knows about him, the rest is history for the man of a thousand faces. Neither friend nor foe, he exists on the threshold between dream and concrete reality. He's always will be known as Jack, the ghost of Lost Angel's.

Yeah its been a long time. Been dropping into LA more lately. On vacation at the moment and Second Life is not accessible, but laptop allows for writzor. I'm not playing as Jack anymore, but thought it was fitting to atleast provide a background for him. Good to see new faces and old faces posting in this collab of backstories.
02/19/09 03:05
KeylaVery well written, Jack. As usual, I love your story. ;) And I hope to see you more around again.

(but put your ooc in brackets, that confuzzled me for a second there :P )
02/19/09 07:51
AntiZeroMeh it was a quick version of the long winded mess I wrote a year ago. I really like the new faces and the arrival of breadth with stories and characters.02/21/09 18:00
hmarkovaHi new to CoLA

Hi everyone !

1st draft of my history and character info..

Hellena Markova

Demon name yet undecided. Suggestions would be great !

Born demon of Abbadon and Lillith

Beginning a a crude and violent succubi with little care for the finer aspects of demons ability for temptation and persuasion

Secretly sent to earth not to kill but to twist mans morality, but under instruction not to kill with her own hands. She watched from a distance and watched as her lovers killed and collected the souls of those murdered in rubies. Her lovers gifting them to her as tokens of love lust and loyalty. Her lovers once old commited suicide and she put thier souls in the ruby that contained all thier victims.

corrupting humans, helping them endulge in thier lust. Taking human lovers, twisting thier minds, and sending them out into the populace causing rape and murder for centuries.

Confronted by the Angel Michael, she faught him and lost, as punishment he cut off her tongue, wings, horns and her arms at the elbow and made her a mortal man.

Living amongst people as a drug addict for 45 years, seething at thier pathetic lives, whislt being forced to live a pathetic existance of her own.

Upon her death she was cast back into hell and upon arrival was treated as an utter failure. Once again a demon, her wounds would not deal, her wings didnt grow back and without a tongue she could not speak, treated as an outcast and a reject not worthy

Upon the arrival of the comet wormwood she was sent with the first wave of succubi. But she did not fight she returned to the place of her mortal days and recovered the rubies buried in the wallss of a sewer. embedding them in arms of a fresh corpse lying in the street the crystals willed the dead flesh to be her own and combining rubies with the twisted metal, the souls of her imprisoned lovers fashioned wings and horns out of the twisted metal.

She cut the tongue out o a human and into it she embedded the ruby of her first lover the most loyal and depraved. she fused the toungue to her own mouth and for the first time in 300 years she could speak again.

Upon regaining use of her limbs and her speech she unleashed the fury of hundreds of years against anything that stood in her way. Her new arms and wings dont seem to work quite as well as she'd hope, requiring concentration to control them it distracts her from her bloodlust. This makes her less combat effective than she used to be, having to relearn combat skills with her new appendages.

Her tongue has a life of its own, babbling things from both hell and human worlds. She remains quiet when surrounded by her own kind in fear of what she might say, angering her superiors.

1sr Rough draft
Needs refining.
Probably contains many typos and grammatical mistakes.
